Change Is Our Only Constant

Hello! Janet here.Well it’s been quite a journey. It’s our ten-year anniversary this month and our only constant has been change. As we are always striving to improve what we do and how we do it, there’s been a lot of discussion about remaking the menu. Quite a few of you have expressed concern. Don’t worry - the prawns and polenta and chicken marsala aren’t going anywhere. We listen. You’re right. If it ain’t broke…Still, I’ve spent several years growing my relationships with local farmers and I use the market weekly when available for acquiring produce that is grown in our neck of the woods. I want to showcase the local veggies more prominently than we have in the past. I want them to stand out on their own, not just as an entrée accompaniment. So over the next few weeks, as more local produce comes available, we will be changing the format of the menu and adding – or emphasizing our local produce. Some of these changes are design to give you more flexibility in ordering without making changes to all of your favorite meals.Among the changes will be more focus on local wine. As part of that, I am doubling my efforts to bring in more winemakers for wine dinners. We have Doubleback and Bledsoe Family Wine lined up for April 18th. I have Appeloni Vineyards scheduled for May 8thand Chehalem Winery on May 16. After all, May is Oregon wine month. We live in an amazing place with such great food and wine. Why not celebrate often?!Thank you so much for being the best customers, neighbors and friends that we could ever wish for.
